How It Works

Each portrait is carefully and lovingly done based upon your favorite photograph.

Each portrait is carefully and lovingly done based upon your favorite photograph.

I have made the process as simple as possible.  I want to make it easy for you.  Just eMail me a digital image, color or black and white, of your sleeping child (not to exceed 5 MB in size).  I will return a sketch for your review.  Once I’ve received your approval, I will finish the 12″ x 16″ acrylic painting and send a photo of the finished piece. Upon receipt of your final approval, I will ship the  portrait to you.

The Schedule

The process generally takes about a month, but that is dependent upon approval turnarounds and overall workload.  Remember, these are custom, hand-painted original portraits – nothing about them is mass produced.  Each portrait is carefully and lovingly done and will not be rushed.

The Format

Working my way down from 4 x 8 foot flats and walls to a 12″ x 16″ canvas took a number of years, but this size works best for converting almost any photo of a sleeping child into a portrait.  Because a 12″ x 16″ canvas is a standard size, ready-made frames are available in most craft/hobby shops and many department stores.  Since acrylic paint should never be covered by glass, one simply removes it, if there is any, slips the painting into the frame and depresses the tabs.

The Pricing

Each portrait is valued at $250, plus tax and shipping.  Half of the portrait price is due upon approval of the preliminary sketch, and will be billed when the sketch is sent.  Final payment, plus tax and shipping, will be invoiced when the photo of the finished portrait is forwarded for final approval.  Once payment has been received, the portrait will be shipped via UPS.

Payments are handled through PayPal, which accepts all major credit cards.
